This session will examine old paradigms and discuss current security challenges and how security posture can be improved by making security a priority while empowering users and leveraging alternative approaches to cloud security. IT leaders do more than secure the university- they advance the capabilities of the institution.

Outcomes:
-Learn alternative approaches to cloud security beyond the legacy block-and-tackle strategies and show how forward-thinking organizations can balance end user enablement and organizational security.
-Learn how to align with users, education them and alter them when they violate policy all while keeping an eye out for the occasional security incident worth leaving to the professionals.
-See first-hand how this people-centric approach transforms users into a human firewall, and how empowering users allows information security leaders to do more than simply secure the university- they advance the capabilities of an organization.
